Shipping information
United Pet safe program has been shut down since covid started and has not been opened back up. Most of my families, if they cannot travel by vehicle, fly in and take puppy back with them in cabin. I would be happy to talk with you about options.
When your puppy is being shipped:
I will not ship my puppies till they are 9 weeks old. You will need to let me know what airport you would like for your puppy to be flown into. I will check to be sure I can get a flight into there with an acceptable layover. If all is good with the flights, I can verify the fee to ship your puppy. The shipping fee which includes your crate to start your training with, vet certification, additional 9 week puppy shot, and fee for transporting usually runs between $525- $540.
All flights originate from St. Louis International Airlines, Missouri. Temperatures are one of the main concerns with shipping. Airlines will not usually ship if temperatures drop below 20-degree or are hotter than 85-degrees. The same temperature limits apply to any stops between St. Louis and the final destination. United Airlines (formerly Continental) is the airline that is most recommended to me, and the one I feel most secure with using. With United Airlines “pet safe program” the puppy has the same climate control as the passengers, and they are picked up form the tarmac as soon the flight lands with a climate controlled vehicle. Our babies are never put on the luggage cargo, and are transported from one flight to another or to the pick up destination. For these reasons, United Airlines has no temperature restrictions.
My puppies are not tranquilized!! The flight is usually harder on you than the puppy. They will be in a crate (airline approved) that will be lined with paper or puddle pads for absorbency, comfort, and security. There will be a bag of "Pro Pac Puppy" puppy food on the top of the crate as well as an itinerary. There is a water/food dish attached to the crate in case it will be needed in route. We are not allowed to have any toys in the crate.
United Airlines number is 1-800-575-3335. I will make all the flight arrangements, but you can call to get local cargo numbers and other local information. I will need the name, address, and phone number of the person picking up the puppy. I will supply you with a flight
itinerary and air bill or confirmation number. The person picking up the puppy will need these numbers and a state pictured id (driver’s license) at pickup. You will need to contact your airport to get the necessary pickup area information.8
